UCLA – At 1-5 the Bruins took a much needed week off for a bye.
Ohio State – The Buckeyes took the weekend off from murdering their opponents. They still sit undefeated at 6-0.
Miami (OH) – The Redhawks took another beating this past weekend this time to Western Michigan to the tune of 38-16 to move to 2-4.
Marshall – The Thundering Herd moved back to .500 (3-3) after beating ODU 31-17.
Central Florida – The Knights had extra time to let that loss in Nippert sink in as they too were on a bye week.
Tulsa – The Golden Hurricane (singular) took the week off after playing an all timer against SMU. Unfortunately, for them Navy still showed up and whooped them 45-17, dropping Tulsa to 2-4. Tulsa gets to spend the afternoon in Nippert this Saturday.
ECU – The Pirates are still .500 (3-3) but are 0-2 in the American. They had this past weekend off.
UConn – The Huskies are 1-5 and got worked by Tulane (5-1) 49-7. They’re so bad.
South Florida – The tide might be turning for the Bulls. They are now 3-3 after beating BYU 27-23. They take on Navy next.
Temple – The Owls had a rock fight with Memphis this past week. Fortunately for the Owls they were the last ones standing as they beat the Tigers 30-28. Was there a questionable call? Who am I to say but I like that Memphis lost and we have Temple at home in November. The Owls move to 5-1.
Memphis – Will the Tigers be able to regroup from the questionable call? Their task won’t be easy as division rival Tulane comes to town looking to find their way to AAC Championship game.
Notable Teams in the American
SMU – #19 SMU takes on a tough Temple team this week after having the week off last weekend. This might be the AAC game of the week.
Tulane – The Green Wave dominated UConn last week to remain undefeated in the AAC but have a tall task in Memphis this weekend in another potential AAC game of the week.
